What is your most valuable, powerful inner resource??? Intuition! Many of you have been using your intuition to make decisions throughout your life, maybe you just didn’t think of it as your intuition. In my experience one of the biggest sources of stress and anxiety is when we ARE NOT following our intuition. The #1 reason we ignore it is because of FEAR!

Intuition often has nothing to do with reason or “rationale thinking”. It may not even make sense. It is like a muscle. The more you ignore it, the flabbier it gets. The more you use it, the stronger it gets. Then when you have those really tough times and you have a really strong muscle, it really helps you through it, if you use it.

Stress is the #1 inhibitor of intuition. That is why it is so important to have natural tools to release your stress so you can easily access it. If you have not really developed this muscle, in times of great stress you can easily feel lost.

Looking back I have used my intuition to make some of my biggest decisions in life. For example, after I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree I had applied to Physical Therapy school. I ended up getting in, which I thought was my life long dream. Then one day I had the intuition to apply to chiropractic school. I had never been to a chiropractor or knew any chiropractors. I just had this deep, strong feeling that I needed to go in that direction. At the time it made no rational sense. In fact, I probably seemed totally careless and reckless to some. It didn’t matter, I just knew it was what I needed to do.

I look back in amazement and gratitude of how different my life would be right now had I gone to Physical Therapy school. WOW!

Exercise

Think of a question that if you had the answer to it, your life would be easier. After taking a few minutes to do some deep breathing to relax yourself (or listen to my 7 minute guided visualization) ask your “intuition” the question. Then wait for a response. You can do this as a writing exercise or just visualize it.
